There is a great disquietude among the masses. They are searching for something but they do not exactly know what it is for which they search. We are unsatisfied with our culture. We are irritated by our ignorance. We complain that we don't feel a sense of belonging. We hold on tight to whatever we can grab as the world tosses and turns us and tries to bowl us over. But this is no kind of living. So we go out and boldly claim "We will Live!" and somehow, we end up right where we began--holding onto the floor with seasickness from the wild torrent of our society's tides.
There is a trouble with now. When I go back over what I've just said, I realize that the problem is me. The problem is how we view the self.
There is a trouble with now, I can see it in the mirror. No anti-aging creme is going to help this. No band-aid can take us back to "the good old days" when America made sense. The problem is deeper. The problem is self-absorption.
